New land has been discovered, and the Romans, Egyptians, Japanese, and Barbarians are all rushing to settle it! In this strategic card game, players take control of a civilization and use its unique powers to construct buildings and attain victory points. Each round, players take turns drawing cards, producing resources, and taking an action. Actions consist of building, using “features" to gain resources or points, or destroying buildings to gain rewards. Buildings earn resources, earn victory points, or allow you to take unique actions. The various factions possess unique buildings and excel in different functions – for example, the Japanese can place samurai on a building before destroying it to gain extra points. After five rounds, the game ends, and the player with the most points wins. A nice game for 2-4 players, that takes around 45-90 minutes to play.
